Could this be my week?
This could be the time I’ve been waiting for
One Week
Seven Days
168 Hours
10080 Minutes
604800 Seconds
Often we look at one week either positively or negatively, and we use the week as a springboard or a destination of a time. I’m thinking a little more about this week as I hear back from a job interview. I thought I interviewed well. I want the job and believe I would be good at it, and it would also get me closer to home. I try not to overthink it, but this week, days, hours, minutes, and seconds could be one of the most important in my life.
Think about how much an average week played important in your growth. Well, this could be my week. It could be awesome, or it could suck. It’s important not to get too high or too low; we all have responsibilities we can be doing that are vital to our careers and daily lives. When I could get the call, I have to be ready. I am thinking about the poem from civil rights leader Dr. Benjamin Mays.
I only have a minute.
Sixty seconds in it.
Forced upon me, I did not choose it,
But I know that I must use it.
Give account if I abuse it.
Suffer, if I lose it.
Only a tiny little minute,
But eternity is in it.
Whether it be one week, one hour, one minute, any of them could be the moment I have been waiting for.
